We have combined the talents of a long history in employee benefits, mainly health plans, and the IT world to develop a great program for the administration of medical expense reibmursement plans (MERPs). These plans allow an employer to reduce his premium cost to the insurance company by increasing the deductible on his plan, but then turn around and use part of that savings to share the deductible with his employees and keep their exposure to deductible cost at a lower level.This plan is designed to be used by employers as small as 5 employees. It is priced to make it easy to implement and administer for companies that small, but we actually have an international client with 150 member employees and over 400 participants that is using this system and they are doing great with it.This system is "all electronic" so the employer has little to no time setting it up. We do all of the work. Plan documents, SPDs, are all created at time of sign up and SPDs are emailed to employees. Introductory packet and instructions are all emailed to the employee. Claims are submitted directly from the employee via email (or fax) to EZmerp and those claims are processed with EOBs emailed back to the employee. Once a week EZmerp issues a report to the employer informing them of the claims that have been processed. Amounts of claims are indicated on the report and the employer pays his own claims through internal systems. Easy Easy.
