At One World Spiritual Center, we believe in the questions. Why are we here? How should we live? What in life is important? How do I make a difference in my world? What makes me happy?We ask these, and other, questions every week in our Sunday gathering and small group discussions. Where do we go for answers? As an interspiritual community we learn from many different wisdom teachers, including the Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, Lao Tzu, Confucius, the Greek Stoics and Hebrew sages, as well as more current teachers who bring a modern consciousness to this ancient wisdom. Lastly, we incorporate the wisdom, experience and humor each of us brings. (In addition to growth, we also believe in fun!)We value the rich diversity of spiritual wisdom and practices available to all spiritual seekers. Through weekly messages, meditation, prayer and music we combine the best of old and new with a fresh perspective that brings new life to ancient wisdom. Our goal? A meaningful, happy and compassionate life.What is Interspirituality?Many today are looking for a new understanding of God, by whatever name you call him (her, or it.) Like them, we at One World have largely come from more traditional houses of worship, looking for a more personal spirituality. Here, we each create our own path but share our journeys with each other. Rather than insisting on doctrinal uniformity, we believe our spiritual diversity enriches us all. Interspirituality is the study of the world's diverse mystic spiritual traditions, seeking those practices that speak to you. While the world's faith traditions have points of difference, they join in proclaiming the centrality of kindness, compassion, service, and love. We are the hands, the feet, and the heart of that message.One World is a community of practice, committed to personal spiritual awakening.
