Connect 4Life is a registered charity (Charitable # 8974648RR0001) who aims to empower individuals with disabilities by providing access to education and training programs that will allow them to become independent, contributing members of society. Education and training programs will encourage independence in all stages of life.C4L will offer ongoing programs to individuals with disabilities who are able to learn basic life skills. C4L will provide services via 5 distinct and interrelated components: 1. Training Centre i. Training programs for individuals with disabilities focussing on literacy and numeracy, life skills training, social skills and job readiness 2. Advocacy and advice i. Connect 4 Life will act as a resource to provide advocacy and advice for families and clients. 3. Education and training for corporations/Public i. In partnership with community organizations Connect 4 Life will provide training to corporations on topics such as: sensitivity training, employment equity, accessibility standards etc. 4. Counselling i. Connect 4 Life will partner with trained professionals to provide counselling to clients and their families. Counselling can be provided individually or in a group setting. 5. Funding i. Connect 4 Life will continuously work to provide access to education and training programs within Ontario for our clients. ii. Social Enterprise iii. Connect 4 Life will Create & Develop a radio station called Voices for Abilities in partnership with to be a training centre for our clients to learn job skills about broadcasting, and give us the opportunity to provide onternet radio programs on disability issues, andgiving individuals with disabilities a voice. The money raised through advertising will cover the costs of running the station, and assist Connect 4 Life
