Projektleiterin Inklusions-Check at Tatkraft association - Zürich, Zurich, Switzerland
Tatkraft is an association that understands accessibility as a social quality feature. Tatkraft focuses on the views, expectations and demands of people with disabilities (PWD) by giving their potentials and competencies self-empowering and visible space.Tatkraft supports people with disabilities who do not want to be handicapped, but who want to be socially, politically, culturally and economically active on an equal footing. In this way, Tatkraft makes a lasting contribution to ensuring that a change of perspective can prevail: From the deficit-oriented view of people with disabilities to inclusion and self-empowerment. The causes of disabilities are identified in disabling environmental factors. Consequently, the burden of adaptation lies with the environment/society so that people with disabilities can tap into their individual resources and abilities and participate and shape society on an equal footing.Society must remove all barriers and ensure access for all everywhere. The ultimate goal is therefore the inclusion and barrier-free participation of people with disabilities in society, with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities serving as a reference document.Tatkraft is committed to the right to self-determination and has a vision of a society that sees diversity as a strength and recognizes and uses the resources of each individual.
