Melissa Clarkson is a Charlotte based makeup artist specializing in beauty and SFX. She was initially enthralled by the transformative ability of makeup in the movies and theatrical performances she frequented as a child. The fascination with the technical aspect of the performing arts is what eventually initiated her exploration of makeup artistry. Melissa moved to New York City where she completed the Master Makeup Artistry program, consisting of 812 clock hours, at Make-Up Designory (MUD). Throughout her training at MUD, Melissa worked on multiple photo-shoots with an array of talented photographers and models. She designed makeup for a series of beauty and fashion shoots, as well as a range of characters for special effects shoots.
