GoodLight is trying to brighten the world with truly affordable non-toxic candlelight while cultivating a business that creates a positive impact. More about our candles: Unlike most candles, which are made from petroleum-based paraffin wax, GoodLight Natural Candles are made from 100% palm wax. This non-GMO plant-derived wax burns clean, without emittting harmful toxins or black soot. Our cotton wicks do not contain lead, zinc, or any other filaments. So when you burn GoodLight, you get nothing but good light. More about the positive impact: GoodLight hopes to educate more consumers about the palm oil industry and its sustainability movement, while having our products leave as little trace as possible. As a member of GreenPalm and the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, we pay a premium to RSPO-certified growers who have proven their commitment to sustainable farming and social responsibility. As a member of 1% for the Planet, we contribute the Carbonfund.org's reforestation efforts to offset all of our office and transportation emissions--including the deliveries made to all of our customers. We have also partnered with the Orangutan Land Trust, pledging a part of our annual revenues to the work they are doing protecting the rainforests and endangered wildlife of Southeast Asia, where most of the world's palm oil is grown.
