The purpose of VA Quality Scholars (VAQS) is to provide an interprofessional fellowship program in healthcare quality improvement for physicians and nurses as well as associated health professionals such as pharmacists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and physical therapists. In this two-year fellowship, trainees develop and apply new knowledge for the ongoing improvement of healthcare services throughout the United States Veterans Health Administration (VA) and healthcare systems across North America.
