IM4U, LLC developed The IM4U Teaching Program, a music-based bully prevention system for early childhood years. It unites educators, parents and children to develop positive human principles. Children's Artist Jim Mayer developed this unique program with leading early childhood expert Ellen Booth Church, to assist with bully prevention by bringing a creative approach to the challenging topic of bullying. The IM4U Teaching Program looks at the world through the eyes of a child. This educational play-based program speaks to children in their own emotional language to welcome them into a supportive place where they belong. The objective of the IM4U Teaching Program is to help young children develop a sense of empathy towards each other so they behave responsibly… not because they are afraid of getting in trouble, or someone is looking, but because it feels good. Any effective educational program has to be built on a solid foundation. It's not enough to have great activities; the materials need to arise from essential pro-social values. The IM4U Teaching Program develops positive values and interaction skills needed to succeed in school and life. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? • 70% of bullying is not reported to adults and kids don't want to talk about it. • Early intervention is the key to prevention. The IM4U Teaching Program is focused on young children ages 3-8.• Early childhood educators are seeing more and more cases of bullying and aggression in the early years. • Research shows play, music and talk time benefits brain development and social-emotional learning.
