Morley, a larger than life, jovial character established the business in Brighton Road, opposite what was then the cable tram terminus. Robert H. Morley dedicated himself to the local community, serving as a councilor and Justice of the Peace, becoming an intrinsic part of the history and the fabric of the local area.The tradition of serving community needs was continued in the early 1930's when Robert's son, George Morley, took over the business and began building a special rapport with newly arrived immigrants from Greece and Poland.In the late 1950's, R. Glen Morley joined the firm and was responsible throughout the 60's and 70's, for the development and building of numerous properties from Williamstown to Brunswick, in the Caulfield area and throughout the Bayside suburbs. Many of these properties remain under the management of Morleys today. In the 1980's, Glen's son, Matthew joined the family business as the firm's fourth generation. He brings youthful enthusiasm, modern business practices and state of the art technology to the company's rich history and tradition.
