The mission of the company is to develop new methods to capture viable circulating tumour cells to be used for counting or other down-stream analyses as a sensitive and precise way of cancer diagnosis. At the core of the technology is the discovery of a unique carbohydrate structure expressed specifically on cancer cells, but not on any tested normal cell type, to which our proprietary proteins binds with high affinity and specificity. This holds a promise of a universal use in all types of cancer and ultimate vision of the company is to utilize this as a means for a broadly applicable tool of early screening and detection, enabling choice of the best possible treatment and unprecedented outcomes for the patients.
