Classic Cruises of Newport was established in 1991 with the schooner Madeleine. Madeleine sails Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay throughout the day from the end of April through November 1. Our clasicc motor yacht RumRunner II offers hostorical tours along the coastline - built as an original rum runner during the height of prohibition, she smuggled alcohol and outran the Coast Guard untill 1933, the end of prohibition. She became a research vessel and then a communter vessel before being brought to Newport where she resides today.Both Madeleine and RumRunner II offer scenic trips of the harbor and bay open to the public. Both are available for private charters as well.
