Young Women Against Sexual Violence (YWASV) helps to raise awareness about the prevalence of sexual violence in our communities and the normalisation of attitudes and behaviours which lead to sexual violence, by hosting events across different venues in the public sphere. These events are organized by women with lived experience of sexual violence, which helps to empower women by creating a platform for us to take action and have our voices heard.YWASV hosts fortnightly meetups that facilitate connection between young women who have experienced sexual violence. These meetups are a space for women to come together, open up with each other and empower one another.
