The Boston Entrepreneurs' Network (ENET) connects early stage entrepreneurs with information and resources necessary to transform an idea into a successful product or service business. Founded in 1991, ENET is where tech and life sciences founders and founders-to-be learn, network, and grow. ENET organizes 17 evening meetings per year, 10 in Waltham and 7 in Cambridge. Every meeting is designed to be a learning experience in a nurturing environment during which 3 or 4 experts speak on a subject of interest to founders. Meeting subjects include: - Business formation and launch - Finding and working with Cofounders - Bootstrapping and SBIR grants - Term sheets and raising angel capital - Recruiting a management team - Marketing and making sales - IP and avoiding legal pitfalls along the way. Our speakers are angel investors, venture capitalists, CEOs, serial entrepreneurs, and industry experts and professionals, and the subjects are presented in order to be useful to the wide array of Boston, Cambridge, Massachusetts and New England businesses that comprise the innovation economy, including: - High tech, Mobile and e-commerce and Social impact - Health care / Life sciences, Energy and Clean tech - Other Emerging fields of Innovation. Refreshments are provided along with ample time for networking both before and after the speakers and formal Q and A sections of the meeting. In addition to our focus on the innovation economy, The Boston Entrepreneurs' Network (ENET) is a special interest group of the Boston Section of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), the world's largest professional organization with 375,000 members worldwide. ENET welcomes attendance and participation by IEEE members and engineers. ENET ends each program year with a July sunset networking cruise of Boston Harbor. We typically invite other complimentary groups to join our "Entrepreneur Ship" to further enhance the night's networking.
