The people we serve in Bundibugyo, Uganda are a forgotten people in a forgotten district. It is a region that is breathtakingly beautiful but at the same time, a deeply troubled region. This region has faced everything from Ebola, malaria, enemy invasion and the lack of basic life needs. They have been neglected and have had little to no help for years. Because of this, many suffer from simple medical issues to the more serious to life threating. Due to poor medical services and lack of necessities like clean water or basic hygiene, even ordinary scratches can become fatal. The life expectancy in the Bundibugyo region is very low; lower than most of Uganda and other parts of Africa. Infant death is fairly common. To address this, we formed a mobile medical team that serves the villages on a regular base. Our clinical officers are professionally trained, certified, and experienced in the treatment of infections, parasites, difficult childbirth, and fever. Our driver and assistant help with the logistics and the medical professionals however they can.Besides the medical care, we feel it is necessary to work with the villagers on preventive care for sustainability. To do this we address clean water, hygiene training, prenatal care, Christian spiritual guidance and provide the materials they need. We provide this through a village "Wellness Club" by establishing three village oversight persons. These Wellness Clubs are owned by the people of the village so they work together to become improve their health. They perform tasks and we supply what they need.We expect to extend the lives of the villagers by healing, preventive physical care and spiritual relationship with our creator. We can only do this with your help. Please feel free to connect with our website to donate whatever you can. We need your help to help those that have little to no help.
