APR Consultants, Inc. has developed specialized technology to measure, identify and quantify the ride quality of airfield pavements. APR is a solutions provider in that we can measure and fully assess the ride quality of any airfield pavement. APR's customers not only rely on us when they have a ride quality problem, but when they want to proactively assess the profile of their airfield pavements as part of their pavement management program. APR manufactures and sells the Auto Rod and Level profiler. The AR&L will measure a 10,000 foot line of survey in approximately one hour recording an elevation data point every foot relative to sea level. This unit will quickly and accurately measure your pavement's profile and because it is "true profile". The same pavement can be re-measured days, months or even years later and compared directly to the original profile to see what changes have occurred during that span in time. This is useful when making pavement repairs or for monitoring the profile's shape for pavement management. To evaluate the measured profile, APR developed the technology of aircraft simulation. We can simulate up to 15 different commercial aircraft and predict how the aircraft will respond to the measured pavement profile. This technology can accurately identify the location of pavement roughness and quantify how rough the pavement is through aircraft response.
