King Shabu Shabu in Riverwoods is a new modern restaurant bringing a unique dining experience to Chicago's North Shore. "Shabu-shabu" is a type of Japanese cuisine that involves the diner cooking fresh, seasonal vegetables and thinly sliced meat in a steaming pot of water at their table. Traditionally, the primary meat cooked is beef, but modern cuisine has evolved to include other meats and seafood. At King Shabu Shabu, we serve several grades of premium beef, pork, chicken and a variety of seafood. Vegetables, rice, savory dipping sauces and noodles are served with each entrée. At the end of the meal, diners have created a flavorful broth which they can enjoy.
