In the eight decades since, the newspaper had grown to include six of the seven dioceses of Florida, and now it includes four digital editions for three of Florida's dioceses and its archdiocese.Msgr. William Barry, a hallmark of Catholic leadership in the Sunshine State and brother of Bishop Patrick Barry, served as the first publisher and executive editor. After his death in 1940, bishops served as publisher of the publication, as is done today.
