Prior to the Open Center, Michael worked with Strong Minds, Village Health Works, HIV Law Project, Human Rights Watch, NYU Downtown Hospital, and the Michigan Humanities Council.Michael lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters. He researches, writes about, and engages in the art of resilience at the individual and social level. In addition, he is a practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu - a physio-philosophy and energy healing art that empowers people to heal and 'Know Thy Self.'
