Artvest envisioned, negotiated and structured a joint venture with TEFAF NL (owner and organizer of TEFAF Maastricht) to adapt the venerable European Fair to the US market twice each calendar year as TEFAF New York Fall and TEFAF New York Spring. Launching in 2016, the TEFAF New York Fairs exhibit at the Park Avenue Armory and encompass the Drill Hall and all the historic rooms on the first and second floors of the 19th century building. Each Fair hosts over 90 of the world's leading art dealers. Through its advisory business, Artvest has guided clients from around the globe on projects in the billions of dollars. In 2013, while consulting for Citibank's Equity Research Group, Artvest concluded a groundbreaking, thirteen-year analysis of Sotheby's that led to activist investors taking sizable positions in the company. In 2014, Artvest was retained by the Detroit Institute of Arts and the City of Detroit to provide an analysis of the potential bankruptcy sale of the entire museum art collection and to serve as an Expert Witness in the City's Chapter 9 bankruptcy trial.The art market is complex, opaque and unregulated, making it difficult for all but the most experienced to navigate, and sound, unbiased advice is essential.
