MooseCat is a professional recording studio located in Los Angeles, CA, featuring the best of both vintage analog and modern digital tools. Music is our passion, and we focus on making a big sound in an intimate setting. The studio is a fully fledged, sound proofed and acoustically treated facility, designed by Grammy nominated Ken Goerres. The studio was started by producer/engineer Mike Post and singer/songwriter Carly Liza Rosenthal out of a mutual love they have for music. They teamed up with acclaimed producer Peter Malick to bring in state of the art equipment and expertise. MooseCat is equipped to handle a variety of different pallets, with both a Pro Tools 12 HDX system, as well as a Tascam MS-16 1" 16 track tape machine. Both are fed with a 1970's Auditronics 110A 'Grandson' console, designed and constructed in Memphis for Stax Records. Pair this with a plethroa of microphones, outboard gear and vintage instruments, and the result is both an analog and digital world to suite a variety of palettes.
