Founded in 1993, The Covenant School is the only K-12, Classical, Christian school in Dallas. Its mission is "to glorify God by equipping students with the tools necessary to pursue a lifetime of learning so that they may discern, reason, and defend truth in service to our Lord, Jesus Christ." The school currently has 565 students in grades K-12. Of the student body, 30% receive need-based financial aid, with over 30 zip codes and as many church backgrounds represented. Covenant has an 18.1 acre North Dallas campus with 79,117 square feet of classroom space. The school has 89 full and part-time employees. Of full time faculty, 80% have advanced degrees. Accredited by SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools), the school is also affiliated with ACCS (Association of Classical and Christian Schools), TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools), TANS (Texas Association of Non-Public Schools), ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International), The College Board, and the Texas Colloquium of Classical and Christian Schools. The school has 218 alumni to date, 100% of whom have matriculated to colleges and universities such as: West Point, UT Plan II, the College of William & Mary, Wheaton, Texas A&M and Georgetown.
