The Grist Mill is a high-end, rustic, inviting restaurant first built in 1824 as a working mill on the Schroon River in Warrensburg, NY. The restaurant will satisfy any palette and make every visitor feel comforted with its ethereal atmosphere and breathtaking sights, where nature meets history. The Lotus Group of Companies, which owns the restaurant, is elated to have such a reputable, historic restaurant within its brand.Since acquiring The Grist Mill in August 2015, Lotus Group has brought in new décor, additional river-view patio seating, an expanded menu, including a year-round lite fare option, and a general "face-lift" of the historic building. Lotus will continue beautifying this historic building, while bringing customers a twist of something unexpected, mixing the old with the new to make the classic a bit contemporary. Many original artifacts are strewn throughout the restaurant, making it is as much a museum as it is an eatery. In fact, former Chef Shane Newell installed a museum section in the restaurant, so customers could truly have a sense of what came before the fine dining establishment. Since its inception, many aspects of The Grist Mill have remained the same, and its chefs and owners would like to keep things as they were.
