Founder, Executive Committee Member, and former Executive Director
NASS is a national organization serving the nearly 17,000 chief executive officers of school districts across our country. It provides sitting and retired superintendents opportunities to privately network and collaborate as well as contribute to and access a continuously growing knowledge base that includes strategies, best practices, tips and insights and more. They can post questions or comments, read or write blogs, read or publish Ideas to Use or Lessons Learned, share contract tips and more. NASS is important because the collective expertise and knowledge of America's top educational leaders is the key to transforming our country's educational system. NASS is not intended to compete with or detract from other national or state associations; it is a new and innovative addition to school superintendents' resources. "No one of us is as smart as all of us" and the power of the combined capabilities is unlimited. There is a subscription fee, but in most cases it is a legitimate district expense. NASS is headed by Executive Director Tom Armelino.
