Silver Compass Advocacy offers a unique opportunity for seniors to work with experts who understand their health and housing needs through private patient health advocacy and senior real estate services. They work directly for an individual or as a liaison for families that live out of state. Private health advocates provide an in-depth health assessment and develop a personalized plan to help achieve your goals. Advocates help review your diagnoses, treatment options and test results. The private advocate may accompany you to appointments, ask questions, document the visit, consult with providers, accompany you in the event of an emergency, have surgery/outpatient testing or find medical specialists. Silver Compass Advocacy has a team of certified Senior Real Estate Specialists (SRES) that understand the unique needs of seniors and their families. They help prepare the home for sale and manage the financial and emotional challenges of selling a long-held family home. Such as managing the disposition of many years of home contents, completing maintenance and doing repairs. The SRES helps find suitable (i.e., no stairs please) and appropriate housing such as an assisted or independent living community. They can also help buy a larger home to upsize and make room for the grand kids or live in care providers. The health advocate and real estate specialist also work together to help with the transition to the new home. Fees for the SRES can be covered by a commission paid when the home sells or a combination of commission and private pay. The goal of Silver Compass Advocates and Senior Real Estate Specialists is to assist clients in maintaining their independence so they can stay in their home longer and achieve the highest quality of life possible.
