Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau is a 501(c)(6) tax-exempt non-profit corporation, governed by a volunteer board of directors. The Bureau is the official tourism promotion agency for Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, and has its principal offices at 6993 Seven Points Road, Suite 2, Hesston, PA 16647.The mission of the Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau is to develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives which will result in increased visitor spending in the Raystown Lake Region of The Alleghenies.• The organization is customer service oriented, with the visitor as primary client. • The bureau will engage in tourism related projects designed to be beneficial to the visitor, the region and the members it serves. • The agency will work in a cooperative manner with PA Visitor Bureaus, The Alleghenies Tourism Council, other local and regional organizations involved in economic development, and the PA Office of Travel and Tourism as partners in achieving Pennsylvania tourism & economic development goals.The Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau is a membership-based organization representing over 250 unique businesses. The Bureau receives revenue from Huntingdon County government in the form of Hotel Excise Tax revenues, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through Tourism Promotion Assistance and various other grants, its members through dues and cooperative advertising, and from the public through gift shop sales, donations, and event fees.
