Under the direction of Dr Michelle Webster, the Annandale Institute offers training and professional development courses for counsellors and psychotherapists who want to work in an Emotion-Focused way. Dr Webster established the Counselling Training Centre in 1987 before rebranding the organisation as the Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy in 1999 as the world's first higher education provider of postgraduate programs in Emotion-Focused work. She was the Director and principal trainer until July 2018. The Annandale Institute now offers short courses for both practitioners wanting to learn how to work with emotion and those who want continuing professional development for their Emotion-Focused work. We are also involved in research and the publishing of Emotion-Focused books and articles for practitioners.
