Guardian Investments (Guardian) began operations as a boutique investment advisory and portfolio manager with its own Securities Dealers Licence in 1989. In 2002, we were issued with our own Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). Our AFSL carries a discretionary extension, which is important for the ongoing portfolio management of the various investor groups we service. We act for a wide variety of investors including wealthy individuals/families, foundations, trusts, companies and SMSFs. Over the years, with very limited marketing, we have developed a loyal client base, including many of the initial Guardian clients (and their families), who remain with us today. Our role is to bring together the best investment options across bonds, local and foreign equities, property, infrastructure and alternative assets to meet the needs of each investor or investor group. Equally, it is to manage their assets in our care on an ongoing basis to ensure the investor achieves the desired outcome. Guardian is a founding member of the Boutique Financial Planning Principals Group, a key industry body to advance the interest of the boutique adviser and their clients in an investment landscape that is littered with institutional conflicts
