Two Rabbits creates empowering preschool programs with and for indigenous communities. Our evidence-based model provides some of the world's hardest-to-reach children with scalable quality preschool education, delivered via low-cost mp3 technology and local community facilitators. There are three pillars to our model:1. Culturally relevant curriculum. We collaborate with local partners to engage teachers, storytellers, and musicians to create preschool curriculum in the local langauge and cultural style. Two Rabbits fuses international research and local culture, customs, language, and practice to create a program that honors indigenous cultures while also building school readiness skills. 2. Appropriate technology. We engage community voice actors to record our curriculum in audio form onto durable mp3 players powered by solar and hand-crank energy. 3. Local educators. We train community-nominated youth to serve as teachers, using the recordings to bring learning to life despite their own low literacy levels. To date, we have served over 2,500 children across 20 villages in Cameroon. Our impact evaluation found that Two Rabbits boosts child outcomes across child development domains for just pennies per child per day.
