AMR (Australian Market Research) was a successful Australian market research company operating nationally for over 25 years until the brand vanished as part of various mergers and acquisitions in 2018. AMR was founded privately in 1984 and was sold to STW Group in 2007. STW subsequently merged with WPP Global to become WPPAUNZ. At this stage, AMR was merged with Colmar Brunton Research. WPPAUNZ subsequently sold Colmar Brunton along with Kantar and other research assets to Bain Capital, which now manages all existing assets under the Kantar brand.
