Fau Atelier was born out of a longing to create jewellery with a story. A timeless accessory that enhances any outfit.We drew our inspiration from the arts of the late 19th and beginning of the 20th century. This is a very rich period in our history as artists started to define their identity by becoming more expressive in their paintings. With the development of photography, painting became obsolete when it came to copying reality. Art became more about emotion and perception.Each product line is inspired by a specific painting from this period. We paint the patterns by hand, which are then printed on acrylic sheets and cut into various shapes using modern day techniques. These pieces are then complemented with high quality gold plated hangers or studs.
