The Early Learning Coalition of Orange County is an organization that develops and administers programs to ensure children ages birth to five experience the benefits of a developmentally appropriate, research based early care and education services while respecting the role of the parent as the child's first teacher. To that end, our organization provides a child care subsidy for Orange County's working poor families, so that they are able to access quality early care and education programs. The Coalition also administers the Voluntary Pre-kindergarten (VPK) program which provides Orange County four-year-olds a free opportunity to prepare for kindergarten.
