We are a team of researchers focused on developing AI applications and assurance algorithms. We deploy AI across different domains and provide data-driven solutions to persisting public policy problems, such as: analyzing international trade policies, optimizing smart-farming and precision agriculture, protecting national cyber-physical systems, defining consumers' behavioral shifts, improving the quality of service at hospitals, evaluating technological trends, and understanding effects of outlier events on society. However, throughout those AI deployments, serious show-stopper problems are persistent, such as: AI explainability, safety, fairness, and trustworthiness; as well as data bias and incompleteness, data democracy, and dark data. To address such critical challenges, model-agnostic and model-specific AI assurance methods are required; our research at A3 is at the intersection of these issues.
