(ii) by providing drivers in low socioeconomic areas reeling from chronic underemployment a reliable pathway to full employment, development, and income opportunities.Since launching two years ago, Local Transit has provided over 15,000 trips for more than 3,000 patrons living with a disability. It has also provided over a million dollars worth of job opportunities and direct income for affiliated drivers.
