Mineral Community Hospital (MCH) is the only hospital in a county larger than Rhode Island. This 25-bed CAH is the primary health care provider in Mineral County, the sole provider of acute care services, the sole provider of skilled and long term care (18 long term care beds) and the primary provider of outpatient and physician services. We offer 11 assisted living apartments. Located on I-90, the main east-west corridor linking Seattle and Minneapolis, the hospital provides critical 24-hour emergency services. MCH is 60 miles from the nearest regional referral center and offers lab, radiology, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and mammography. Our medical staff consists of two primary care physicians,an orthopedic surgeon, and five physician assistants (PA’s). Visiting specialists include cardiology, general surgery, and podiatry. The hospital has an annual budget of $6M, and with 95 employees is one of the larger private employers in the county. Historically, county residents have demonstrated their support through property tax levees which provide financial resources to the organization.
