Dear Asian Youth is an organization, based on Instagram, led by Asian youth, for Asian youth, inspiring activism, celebration, and education among the Asian community. The founder of DAY, Stephanie Hu, is a high school student currently living in Southern California, who was, and still is, enraged by the injustices of our society. She created the platform, DAY, which reached over 2,500 followers in a little over a month, to empower Asian youth to be proud of their heritage, increase their political engagement through education, and to push their narrative in a world that too often ignores the unique issues they face. Through DAY, she has garnered an international team of 160+ Asian youth leaders of all different Asian ethnicities, who were incited by DAY, and seek change in the society and within themselves too. Together, they hope to create a long-lasting impact on the world as a whole, by unleashing the power that the Asian youth possess.
