CarobWay is a young Israeli start-up created to bring maximum value to carob-based ingredients through advancing sustainable carob cultivation, harvesting and extraction processes. The company combines Israeli ag-tech with innovative European food-tech solutions designed to derive the full goodness of the entire fruit components (seeds and fruits). It works to bridge the gap between current strained supplies of carob and the ever-flourishing demand.The company markets conventional and innovative carob-based products mainly for the B2B food industry and has sealed a number of offtake agreements with European Locust Bean Gum manufacturers. Under its agreement with Israel's forestry organization, Keren Kayemet L'Israel ("KKL"), CarobWay currently harvests carobs from key carob forests in several parts of Israel while conducting field research to analyze the best varieties and growing conditions in Israel. It has already achieved full analysis of domestic carob trees and their nutritional and functional contribution to the food industry.The startup is currently in the process of initiating a vertically integrated system that focuses on the establishment of modern carob groves. It combines Israeli know-how and technology for the intensive high yield cultivation of carob trees, using minimal water and energy while ensuring optimum land use and mechanized harvesting methods. It will coordinate extensive R&D for the development of innovative products centered on carob pulp, including clinically backed extractions targeting specific health conditions, sugar derivatives and fibers. CarobWay is committed to delivering all the nutritional and sustainability benefits of carob to consumers and food companies worldwide. With plans in place to establish its own production facilities, the company intends to license its production technologies to carob growers and kibblers globally and share its expertise in this field to help formulators produce innovative carob-centered products
