DI is India's first and foremost Solutions Providers in the Integrated Fire and Gas Detection Systems space. Founded in 1988 as a joint-venture between Detection Instruments Group of England and Pradeep and Kishore Degwekar, the Company quickly acquired leadership position and continues to do so. Detection Instruments Group was acquired by Halma plc (revenues ~ US$1 billion) and merged with their Group Company Crowcon.
