Little Rivers Health Care, Inc. ("LRHC") is an independent 501(c) (3) non-profit and charitable Community Health Center (CHC) with sites in Bradford, E. Corinth, and Wells River, Vermont. LRHC serves a region designated as a medically underserved population (MUP), as well as a health professional shortage area (HPSA), and receives enhanced FQHC (federally qualified health center) reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid and 330 grant funds from the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC)/ HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration). As a Community Health Center, LRHC is governed by a volunteer, community board of directors. As federally required, at least 51% of LRHC's board members are users of the LRHC's services. LRHC is directed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who reports directly to the LRHC Board of Directors. LRHC provides a sliding fee scale for all services and no patient is turned away due to an inability to pay as defined by the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
