The Transfiguration Chinese School which is conveniently located in lower Manhattan at 29 Mott Street is the ideal place for you to learn to speak Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin). We have over 65 years of experience in Chinese instruction. Children can start to learn from as early as Pre-Kindergarten and continue to study through High School. Classes are offered on weekends (Saturday mornings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday afternoons). The Transfiguration Chinese School also offers instruction for adults to learn to speak Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin). Classes are offered for beginner students, advanced students as well as those who wish to have a fast track for learning the language. The Transfiguration Chinese School is located in the heart of historic Chinatown in Downtown Manhattan, NYC. Through the teaching of Chinese as a second language to all children, especially to children of Chinese descent, the School introduces and passes on Chinese cultural heritage which is a reflection of God's universal goodness, virtue and beauty. As a ministry of the parish, the Transfiguration Chinese School also carries an ecumenical mission to spread the Good News to students and their families irrespective of their religious affiliations.
