Pure Energy Corporation (PEC) is a U.S. based Renewable Energy and Biotechnology Company, with its corporate offices located in One World Trade Center, Tower One, New York (until 9/11/2001), and Paramus, New Jersey. PEC operated R&D laboratories and testing centers in five states, with a research hub in Linden, NJ. Since its inception in 1992, PEC has been focused on extending the fossil fuels supply through the development and commercialization of cleaner-burning, renewable-based transportation fuels, as well as biochemical and additive production technologies capable of providing the components for these fuels. With the invention of PEC's patented Puranol additive system, Pure Energy became the first company to successfully demonstrate a "splash blending" additive technology for ethanol-diesel fuel blends (known as e-diesel). PEC is also credited for developing a flexible Biorefinery process technology, capable of utilizing lignocellulosic biomass (renewable materials) from industrial, agricultural, vegetable biomass, and municipal solid waste sources, to produce fuel-grade ethanol, hydrogen, and high-value chemicals at a significantly lower cost than production through conventional technologies. Since 1997, Pure Energy lead the alternative fuels innovation under the US Energy Policy Act to commercially manufacture and supply high-quality bioethanol, biochemicals, and biodiesel (fatty acid methyl ester) from performance additives, tailored specifically to enhance the compatibility and performance characteristics of biofuels and biofuel-petrol blends. Pure Energy's efforts were supported by US EPA, US DOE, TVA, NREL, ORNL, SWRI, ANL, and other states, federal, and commercial entities in the United States and abroad. The company's strategic alliances and partnerships include Akzo Nobel, Lubrizol, Princeton University, Sekab, Indian Oil Corporation, and others.
