The AUSTRALIAN FOOD SOVEREIGNTY ALLIANCE is a collaboration of organisations and individuals working together towards fair, sustainable and resilient food systems in which: - farmers have dignified livelihoods - soils and waterways are preserved and enhanced through regenerative, agro-ecological practices - all Australians, regardless of income or background, can access high quality and nutritious food at all times We are campaigning to raise awareness of the importance of these systems and to foster their establishment and expansion. In 2012, we initiatied the People's Food Plan process for Australia, a unique, grassroots-led exercise in participatory food policy development. The Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance is a not-for-profit association, incorporated in the ACT under the Associations Incorporations Act 1991 (ACT).
