Shatta had just dawned when in 1988 Mohamed Shatta, who gave his name to the company, Started a small-scale furnishing and upholstery fabrics manufacturing business in Cairo, Egypt. By the 1990s, the company continued to evolve, to eventually encompass upholstery industry, supplying furnishing fabrics and components for manufacturing furniture.
