Point-of-Care (POC) technologies, designed to provide rapid clinical diagnosis at, or near the site of patient care, has the potential to sense changes in well-known biomarkers used already to monitor patients with chronic cardiac and respiratory diseases. However, they need to be measured in blood, which limit their use only in medical institutions. Our non-invasive products based on wearable formats will empower the patients and their families to measure relevant biomarkers anytime and anywhere, allowing them to detect and monitor early stages of possible clinical deterioration, which could prelude in earlier (self-)management strategies, resulting in shorter hospital stays and prevention of unnecessary treatments. Our social impact will be a priority. Our challenge is addressed to patients of all ages, from neonates with congenital heart disease and bronchiolitis', to the elderly with chronic heart failure due to myocardial infarction or chronic lung diseases and asthma. Our product offers continuous, non-invasive monitoring that have a positive health impact to the health deterioration. We will support active aging and improve the self-management of health.
