GateKeyper is a Patented Operator Authorization system that requires the operator of a vehicle to answer a question or a series of questions before that vehicle will operate. The GateKeyper System allows an organization to verify an employee's knowledge about an equipment before its use. An organization assigns questions to their equipment and users of equipment via an online web portal. Users take the test via an app using a mobile device or tablet. If the test is successfully passed, a Bluetooth enabled hardware called the ‘GateKeyper Interlock' unlocks the equipment for use. The user can then start the ignition of the equipment and operate it. Fleet management companies have a large number of equipment and operators working on them. Equipment can be a garbage truck, a crane or anything that has an ignition and needs specialized training to operate it. It can become troublesome if an untrained person operates an equipment and causes an accident. This can cause legal issues for the company if it is unable to prove in the court that the person operating the equipment was properly trained and the accident was caused because of a lack of proper training. This is where the GateKeyper system comes into the picture. GateKeyper ensures that only the trained operators can operate equipment. And how this works in by installing a relay hardware (GKi) in each equipment which is connected with a mobile app (GK mobile app). The operators now have to pass certain tests on their mobile phone before they are able to unlock the GKi and turn the equipment ignition on. The tests make sure the operator has the knowledge required to operate the equipment. Companies have a detailed log of all the equipment access and proof that only the trained operators were using the equipment.
