Marketing & Operations Specialist at AED Institute of America - , Hawaii, United States
With a mission to promote within the community, the science and education of early defibrillation and CPR--we have been sharing knowledge & saving lives in the State of Hawaii since 2004. In the State of Hawaii, the survival rate for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is only about 7%, and less than 3 out of 10 people in Hawaii know how to do good quality chest compressions. We have 2 minutes to start some type of intervention before the brain starts to die. Every minute that we wait, the victim's chance of survival decreases by 10%. Studies find that if compressions are started, and an AED can be applied within the first 2 minutes of cardiac arrest, the person goes from a 10% chance of survival to a 90% chance of survival. We are a local distributor of AEDs and AED accessories. We are an American Heart Association and American Safety & Health Institute training center. We can assist you with everything you need to make your business, school or home, heart safe. From purchasing an AED to training, we strive to provide the absolute best customer service and Aloha. We want you to be ready in the event of a cardiac emergency.
