The Institute of Teaching Training and Education (IKIP) Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta as a Higher Education Institution was the development of Jakarta Muhammadiyah's Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) based in Yogyakarta, which was established on November 18, 1960.
