The Bookworm Society (also known as TBS) was founded in mid-2018 with the vision to create and spread a love for reading.In the first two years of its implementation (i.e. till early-2020), Teach For India (TFI) Fellows (and later, Alumni) worked towards executing its vision by providing access to reading material to children in TFI classrooms at both elementary and secondary levels, and conducting other activities to help them fall in love with reading and stories. In its third year (i.e. mid-2020 onwards), due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant shift of learning to online platforms, TBS has been focusing on the provision of virtual-based reading resources / experiences for both children and adults to continue executing its vision.
