About the Quebecor FundFounded in 1999, the Quebecor Fund contributes to the development of Canadian content production and simultaneously promotes the use of new broadcasting models.Thanks to Videotron, who provides annual contributions of nearly 7,6 million dollars, through grants from a broadcasting distribution undertaking (BDU), to the Canadian industry, the Quebecor Fund is able to provide support to Canadian producers through financial assistance. The Quebecor Fund promotes the production of projects including:-Canadian content production for television broadcasting. Productions may be for television, film or events. However, television broadcasting is systematic;-the production of an interactive multimedia component based on said productions that use information and communication technology (ICT), including high-speed Internet, interactive television (ITV), video on demand (VOD) and/or fixed or mobile terminals.To date, through the Main Television Production Assistance Program (MPAP), and the Event and Film Production Assistance Program (EFPAP), Quebecor Fund has helped producers and distributors produce several high quality projects that have been broadcast on over 33 different Canadian networks such as Groupe TVA, Société Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec, Astral channels, Bell Media Television channels, TV5, Shaw Television channels and TFO. Please refer to our list of funded projects for further information.Furthermore, thanks to the Export Assistance Program (EXAP), the Quebecor Fund also supports initiatives aimed at developing audiovisual content adapted to markets outside Quebec and to other countries, as well as marketing. The Quebecor Fund, a non-profit (NPO), is a private fund incorporated as a company without capital stock under Part 2 of the Canada Corporations Act. Any recovery of from equity investments and loans is reinvested in the Fund.
