Starr Inpatient Medical Services/SIMS is a local and private group of hospitalist physicians now offering post acute care services to assisted living, rehabilitation, and long term care facilities here in West Michigan. Our medical team prides itself on EXPERIENCE. The SIMS physicians are all board certified in Internal Medicine and each has over 10 plus years of Hospitalist/Critical Care experience. All of our providers are on staff at most of the hospital systems here in West Michigan. CONTINUITY OF CARE is our specialty. We are able to access all of the area hospital EMR systems in order to gather pertinent information on our patients. We also offer a TRANSITIONS SERVICE which consists of in-home visits to patients discharging from rehab and long term care facilities, thereby making sure our post acute care patients do not readmit within the 30 day period.
