Our mission is to help raise awareness of mental illness in our community—regardless of age, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, ability, or sexual orientation—and to also stand for those who simply feel alone. We pull in the stories of members of this community to show the reality of life—not all of them deal with mental illness, but it's surprisingly reassuring to see yourself in another's story. We're from all different types of backgrounds with completely unique lives, but many of us have the same perceptions of ourselves and our worth and what we want from the world. We've all felt alone, and our goal is to focus on and minimize that feeling. We want this to not only be a safe space for those in need, but to also educate those who are unfamiliar with the complexities that follow mental health. We believe this topic to be an ever-evolving subject that needs to be embraced by society, and because of this idea of an ongoing learning process we've made several resources available to you all. We believe in accuracy, originality, and creativity—and so we've written for you simple yet educational articles made with reliable sources. We want you to know there are always people that are here for you—whether it be the 24/7 hotlines at the bottom of each page or our own chatbox. We believe strongly in community and the benefits of engaging yourself with the world around you—especially during these times of isolation—and so we invite you to explore Frisco. The places, yes, but the people as well.
